OUR MANIFESTO

Home is where their love never leaves

We believe remembrance feels like an embrace: soothing, warm, and full of quiet joy. Grief is never the same for everyone, and neither is the way we choose to remember. Some find comfort in keeping close. Others, in letting go.

But love is never truly gone: it stays, in the spaces we live in, in the stories we tell, in the quiet moments that bring a smile. We are here to honor that presence, by helping you find your way to hold onto it with ease and grace.

We create experiences that make grief softer, more mindful, and free. And we create urns that belong to nature as much as they belong to you: handcrafted from sustainably sourced wood, shaped with care, and designed to be held. Thoughtfully simple, beautifully tactile, and made to be part of life, not separate from it.

Let memory rest gently, like love always does. Crafted Urns, home is where their love never leaves.

At the heart of what we do

CARE
CARE
Care lives in everything we do, from how we treat people to how we treat the planet we all return to. We work in small batches to avoid waste, and our wood is sourced with intention: either responsibly harvested or grown in dedicated plantations. It guides what care means to us.
Nature
Nature
We design for what happens after loss, that quiet and often uncertain path toward remembrance. Through soft textures, thoughtful words, and gentle guidance, we help love find a place to stay. A place that feels natural, comforting, and entirely your own.
BEAUTY
BEAUTY
We believe design has the power to comfort. That’s why each urn is shaped to feel good in your hands, each message is written to hold meaning, and each piece is carefully packaged to reflect the love behind it. It’s about what feels right when words fall short.
CRAFT
CRAFT
Each urn is made by hand. No two are exactly alike, because no two stories are. We work with the grain of the wood, allowing nature to guide each shape. What results is a piece made with intention and presence, and a quality that can be felt the moment it’s held.
who we are

The story behind our craft

We are a family of architects and carpenters committed to creating more ethical and empathic urns for the memory of other families’ loved ones. Our journey began in a backyard workshop and evolved into a business with global reach.

We've lived through transitions - geographical, emotional, and professional - that taught us to adapt, listen, and create with intention. Every piece we craft carries a story: ours, and now yours.

Our purpose is renewed daily by our community, by the memory of those we’ve loved and lost, and by the presence of new life, reminding us to stay grounded in what matters most.

The woods we work with

We source only legal, sustainably harvested wood from responsibly managed forests across Central and South America. Every piece is hand-selected, carefully kiln-dried to reduce moisture and weight, and shaped with reverence for its natural character. Our woods carry warmth, texture, and a story. Explore the distinct personality of each wood we use.

  • African mahogany

    African mahogany

    Khaya spp.

Richly toned with golden highlights, this wood has a reddish-brown base and subtle bands that evoke the shimmer of brushed copper. With time, the color deepens. Original from West and Central Africa, sustainably sourced in Central America.

  • Mahogany

    Mahogany

    Swietenia macrophylla King

Elegant and even, this classic tropical mahogany has a fine, straight grain and a soft reddish glow that intensifies over time. Known for its warmth and timeless appeal, it offers a refined, serene presence. Original from tropical America: Southern Mexico and Brazil.

  • Crabwood

    Crabwood

    Carapa guianensis Aubl

Crabwood is lively and expressive. Its knots and darker swirls add character, like rings of memory sealed in time. Initially orange-brown, it mellows into a dark, dignified brown as it ages. Native to Central America, the Amazon basin, and the Guianas.

  • Laurel

    Laurel

    Cordia alliodora Ruiz

Bay Wood surprises with contrast: olive-toned browns meet near-black veins, creating dramatic and one-of-a-kind patterns. Tactile and complex, it brings both softness and strength to the touch. Native to Central and South America.

  • Oak

    Oak

    Tabebuia rosea

Gentle and luminous, this local oak has golden-beige tones and soft grain rings that feel like the markings of time. It brings a sense of lightness, both visual and emotional. Native to Central and Northern South America.

  • Teak

    Teak

    Tectona grandis L.f

Sacred in many cultures, teak has a honey warmth and bold grain that sometimes echoes tiger stripes. The texture is smooth yet full of energy. Said to hold healing properties, it’s a wood that invites calm. Native to South and South-east Asia, sustainably sourced in Central America.

  • Dark Mahogany

    Our wood treatments

    Swietenia macrophylla King

Our oxide finish is a natural process applied by hand, using a vinegar-based solution that gently darkens the wood into a deep, smoky tone. This patina preserves the beauty of the grain, which still shimmers through under the light.

OUR ALLY

Local craft, global heart

Matthias, the founder of Natururnen Manufaktur, first came to us as a client. Experiencing our work firsthand sparked a conversation that grew naturally, guided by shared values and mutual respect. Today, we craft each urn in our workshop in Nicaragua, while Natururnen helps bring them closer to families in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Through this collaboration, our European clients benefit from local delivery without customs delays, certified urns for forest burials, in-person samples in Munich, guidance tailored to local funeral regulations, and support that speaks their language, both culturally and emotionally.

Our Environmental Commitment

Where care takes root

As part of our commitment to sustainability and meaningful craftsmanship, we are proud members of The Generation Forest, a cooperative that restores degraded land in Panama by planting permanent, biodiverse forests. Their work captures carbon, supports local communities, and protects future generations, values that resonate deeply with the purpose behind our handcrafted urns.
